    Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center presents, Plaiting with Black Ash, 9am-12pm in the MultiPurpose Room. Weaving with locally harvested and hand processed black ash, participants will learn a very simple weave under tension, as they weave a basket measuring approx. 5” in diameter to take home. Simple tools such as a scissors and a knife will be used in the process. A variety of baskets and resource materials will be on site for further enhancement. Instructor April Stone is a community member who has spent the last 20+ years working with Black Ash and carries a wealth of knowledge regarding the harvest and process.
