Friends of Copper Falls State Park. Join us on New Moon Night Walk and enjoy night skies in the park! Meet at the park contact station at 8 pm. We will visit 6-8 sites throughout the park where our night light quality measurements will be taken in preparation for Dark Skies Designation for Copper Falls! Our walk will be minimally invasive to the nocturnal landscape and wildlife during this critical spring nesting/mating season. We will walk quietly in open spaces, not disturbing the landscape with noise or unnecessary artificial light. Bring your red headlights/flashlights and binoculars. You may also want to take photographs of the star features, horizons, and light domes over Mellen and Cozy Valley. Hope to see you there! 36764 Copper Falls Rd, Mellen.
