    Guided Snowshoe Hikes – Copper Falls State Park. 1-4pm. Visitors are invited to experience the beauty of winter at Copper Falls State Park through a series of guided snowshoe hikes led by the Friends of Copper Falls State Park. These seasonal outings offer an opportunity to explore the park’s snowy landscapes while learning about its natural features. Participants will park and gather at the Red Granite Parking Area. Each hike will cover approximately 2–4 miles, depending on conditions, and will traverse hilly forest terrain and deep snow areas. Attendees are encouraged to dress for winter weather, bring a water bottle, and wear snowshoes. Snowshoes are required. Hot cocoa will be provided following each hike. If weather or trail conditions require cancellation, a decision will be made by 9 a.m. on the morning of the hike and announced on the Friends of Copper Falls State Park Facebook page. An admission pass is required for vehicles entering the park. Park location: 36764 Copper Falls Rd, Mellen. These guided snowshoe hikes are sponsored by the Friends of Copper Falls State Park.   • Parkingsong Choir – Messiah Luthern Church in Washburn. Most thursday afternoons (see website below for specific dates). 1:30-3pm. The Parkinsong Choir is a community choir formed as part of the Bay Area Parkinson’s Support Group. The group hopes to bring together people with Parkinson’s Disease, their partners, friends, caregivers, and community members to sing together and offer mutual support to one another. Music is very beneficial for all people, especially those dealing with physical, mental, and emotional health challenges. We are always looking for new singers! On Thursday, March 20, 5- 7pm  CBAC and the Washburn Cultural Center will host the improv group “Lost in the Woods.” The public is invited!     NWCC of Tamarack Health in collaboration with Essentia Health hosts Courageous Connections, a Cancer Support Group at Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center, 1615 Maple Lane in the Stockton Island meeting room on the ground floor near the coffee shop. 11am-12pm. There are virtual options available as well. We provide a safe and welcoming space to allow for sharing patients’ and caregivers’ experiences. We also provide guest speakers on cancer and caregiving-related topics such as: fear of recurrence, emotional impacts of cancer, finding hope and much more!
