Reserving a Campsite!

The City of Ashland Parks & Recreation is happy to announce that for the first time we will be taking reservations for nightly, multi-day, weekly, and month long camping! Reservations for the 2026 camping season will open on Wednesday, February 11th 2026 at 9am!

Two Ways to Book – Online or Phone!

To book a campsite you can either click on the link for Prentice Park or Kreher Park, or call into our office to reserve a site with our staff at 715-682-7059!

City of Ashland park facilities and campgrounds usually open for the season around May 15 and close around October 15. Firewood, to be used at the City of Ashland campgrounds, must be purchased in Ashland or within a 25-mile radius of the City of Ashland.

Kreher Park, located on Lake Superior, at the end of North Prentice Avenue.   Kreher Park is a 33 site RV only park, with restrooms and showers, onsite water & electricity (30 & 50 amp), playground, swimming beach, pavilion and dump station. We do not have full sewer hook up and access to the Ashland Rails to Trails System a waterfront pedestrian/bike trail, the Ashland Ore dock, City boat launch & City Center.  Can accomidate 40 ft campers – a few spots can handle a little larger.

Prentice Park is large wooded park on the west edge of Ashland just off of Turner Rd.  Prentice Park offering 6 primitive tent camping sites (no electricity) and 7 RV sites with onsite water & electricity. The park has restrooms and showers. There is no Wifi in this park.  The park also has artesian wells, playground, pavilions, 2 miles of hiking trails and access to the Ashland Rails to Trails System – a continous trail along Ashland’s Waterfront and through town, Fish Creek Sloughs and wildlife viewing opportunities. Paid RV campers can use the dump station at Kreher Park for no additional cost. Maximum stay on any tent site is two weeks.  Can accomidate 40 ft campers.

Kreher Park Fees   

  • Kreher – non lake front sites $55/night – $330/wk – $1,320/month
  • Kreher – Lakefront sites (#25-33) $60/night – $360/wk  – $1,440/month
  • Kreher – (Sites 15,18,19,20,23 have a 14 day limit so no month long stays on those sites)

Prentice Park  Fees:

  • RV $55/night – $330/wk – $1,320/month
  • Park Tent $30/night – $180/wk – No monthly stays
