The City of Ashland has two campgrounds. These campgrounds operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note: Ashland’s parks and campgrounds officially open for the season on May 15.
Firewood to be used at the City of Ashland campgrounds must be purchased in Ashland or within a 25-mile radius of Ashland.
Kreher Park, which is located on Lake Superior, at the end of North Prentice Avenue, is an RV-only campsite. Kreher Park has bathrooms, showers, water and electric hook-ups and a pumping station. The Ashland Parks and Recreation Department accepts reservations for month-long only camping at Kreher Park for the 2017 season. Please give them a call at 715/682-7059.
Non-peak rate (May, June, Sept, Oct) = $27/night
Peak rate (July and Aug) = $32/night
Prentice Park has tent camping as well as pop-up camp sites.
Camping at Prentice Park is suitable for tents and smaller RV units. Prentice Park campers are permitted to use the shower facilities (the showers are open from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and the dump station at Kreher Park for no additional cost.
Prentice Park has restrooms, electric hook-up and an artesian well. Daily camping fees:
for RV camping $20.00; for pop-ups and $15.00 for tents.
