The City of Ashland has two campgrounds. These campgrounds operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note: Ashland’s parks and campgrounds officially open for the season on May 15 and Closed on October 15.
Firewood to be used at the City of Ashland campgrounds must be purchased in Ashland or within a 25-mile radius of Ashland.
Kreher Park, which is located on Lake Superior, at the end of North Prentice Avenue, is an RV-only campsite. Kreher Park has bathrooms, showers, water and electric hook-ups and a pumping station. The Ashland Parks and Recreation Department accepts reservations for month-long only camping at Kreher Park for the 2018 season. Please give them a call at 715/682-7059.
Prentice Park has tent camping as well as pop-up camp sites.
Camping at Prentice Park is suitable for tents and smaller RV units. Prentice Park campers are permitted to use the shower facilities (the showers are open from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and the dump station at Kreher Park for no additional cost.
Prentice Park has restrooms, electric hook-up and an artesian well.
