Memorial Park/Band shell

Located on U.S. Highway 2 West, just west Highway 13 (Ellis Ave), the city bandshell is named for Theodore “Ted” Mesang (1901-1967), one of America’s foremost band composers and music educators. He wrote more than 200 musical compositions and was one of the first experts in marching band formations. The historic band shell provides a wonderful lakeside venue for open-air concerts.
