Distance: Run 3 miles ~ Bike 12 miles ~ Run 1 mile

Race Registrations

Each racer receives a finisher’s medal and shirt

Awards – For top 3 overall in both male & female categories.

Run:  The run for the adults will go through the Pearson Plaza Park to the Waterfront Trail and back.

Bike: The bike portion for the adults is an out-and-back course. It will start on Main Street and run west to Sanborn Avenue. Head south out of town on Sanborn Avenue (Hwy. 112) to Hwy. 137. Next take a right onto Hwy. 137 (Golf Course Road) to Whipperfurth Road. Turn left onto Whipperfurth Road and continue to Summit Road. Take a left on Summit Road and continue to Hwy. 112. Turn right (south) on Hwy. 112 and go to County Road K (Airport Road). Circle the airport and return the same way you came.

Water Station:  Water & PowerAde will be available at or around the 3rd mile, 9th mile and the finish line.

The Course:  Please review the race routes prior to the race.  It is your responsibility to know the course and to conduct yourself safely.  PLEASE NOTE:  The bike and run courses are not closed to traffic.  Be aware of your surroundings and proceed with caution at all driveways, intersections, and turns.  Watch out for uneven pavement and other road hazards. Each person is individually responsible for completing the course.  No assistance allowed.  If you do not complete each component (run, bike or run), you must notify a race official or race director as soon as possible.  The race director may alter the course due to conditions, safety concerns or construction.

Transition:  Transition for the adults will be located near the corner of Main Street and 6th Avenue West. Transition will open 90 minutes prior to race start. Once
the race starts, no bikes will be allowed out of the transition area until after all racers complete the race. Only race participants are allowed in the transition area. Please remove your belongings from the transition area as soon as possible after the last finisher. Security will be lifted from the transition area approximately 30 minutes after the last finisher comes through.  ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS CONTAINERS!

General info for all racers:  All race officials and volunteers will wear yellow safety vests identifying them.  Please follow the instructions of all race officials.  These people are there for your safety.  The race director reserves the right to change or cancel the race if required by adverse conditions.  The post-race party and awards presentation will be located at the Pearson Plaza Park soon after the last racer finishes  Racers must be able to finish the duathlon within a 2-hour clock.
